William Hill announced that it has appointed Mark Brooker as the new chairman of Corporate Responsibility Committee. Brooker will take up his new role on 16 November when the current chair, Ashley Highfield, steps down from the Board.

Who is William Hill?

William Hill is one of the longest-standing and largest gambling service provider in the United Kingdom. The company was founded more than 80 years ago and launched its online gambling brand, William Hill Casino, in 2001. The digital casino offers a wide variety of slots and other casino games. The company also has an impressive sponsorship portfolio being the title sponsor of the William Hill Scottish Cup and one of the sponsors for three revered English Premier League teams – Everton, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

What will the responsibilities Mark Brooker’s new role include?

Brooker already has a lot of experience in the industry before he joined William Hill in November 2016. He was the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director at Betfair, another prominent brand of online gambling, for more than six years. He joined William Hill as a non-executive Advisor and was later promoted to non-executive Director. In his new role as the Chairman of Corporate Responsibility Committee, Brooker will take the lead for managing group strategies, policies, and programs involving social or corporate responsibility issues. He will surely be very busy with his new duties since the company aims to promote awareness of voluntary set limits and educate the market about different tools they could use to help with gambling problems.
